Passenger SIR Module Cover Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE



1. Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system.
2. Remove the passenger side Instrument Panel (I/P) access panel.
3. Remove the passenger side air deflector
4. Open the I/P compartment.




5. Remove the lower module cover screws.
6. Remove the upper module cover bolt.
7. Remove the inflatable restraint I/P module cover from I/R

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE



1. Install the inflatable restraint I/P module cover to I/P.



2. Install the upper module cover bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the upper module cover bolt to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

3. Install the lower module cover screws.

Tighten
Tighten the lower module cover screws to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

4. Close the I/P compartment.
5. Install the passenger side air deflector




6. Install the passenger side I/P access panel.
7. Enable the SIR system.
