Converter Heat Shield Replacement

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
2. Remove the catalytic converter. See Powertrain Management.
3. Remove the heat shield nuts (1) from the heat shield (2).
4. Remove the heat shield.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Install the heat shield.
2. Install the heat shield nuts (1) to the heat shield (2). Tighten the heat shield nuts (1) to 2 Nm (18 inch lbs.).
3. Install the catalytic converter. See Powertrain Management.
4. Lower the vehicle.
