Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the intake air resonator.
3. Remove the serpentine drive belt.
4. Remove the A/C compressor hose support strap bolt from the AIR injection crossover bracket.
5. Remove the harmonic balancer bolts.
6. Remove the harmonic balancer from the crankshaft drive gear.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Install the harmonic balancer to the crankshaft drive gear.
2. Install the harmonic balancer bolts. Tighten the harmonic balancer bolts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the A/C compressor hose support strap to the AIR injection crossover bracket.
4. install the A/C compressor hose support strap bolt. Tighten the A/C compressor hose support strap bolt to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).
5. Install the serpentine drive belt.
6. Install the intake air resonator.
7. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
8. Reprogram the applicable accessories.
