Brake Pads Replacement (Front)





REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the caliper and support. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement (Front).





2. Remove the inner and the outer pads (1) from the caliper bracket (2).
3. Insect the following components:
a. Inspect the guide pins for free movement in front brake bracket. Replace guide pins and or guide pin boots in the following conditions:
- Corroded
- Worn
- Damaged
b. Inspect the inner and outer pads for wear and maximum taper of 0.15 mm (0.006 inch). Replace with pads if they are excessively tapered.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Ensure caliper bracket mounting surfaces (1) are clean and lubricated.
2. Install the inner and outer pads (1) to caliper bracket (2).
3. Install the caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement (Front).
