Radio Clock - Stuck on 12:00 and Cannot Be Changed

Clock Malfunction - Radio Clock Stuck on 12:00 and Cannot be Changed (Replace Body Control Module)

Condition

Some owners may comment on the radio clock being stuck on 12:00 and cannot be changed.

Cause

This condition may result from a fluctuation of system voltage to the Body Control Module (PZM).

Correction

Install updated Body Control Module (PZM) using the following procedure.

Remove or Disconnect

1. "Comfort" fuse B9 from trunk compartment fuse block.
2. Rear seat cushion.
3. Rear seat back.
4. Body Control Module (PZM) from vehicle.
5. MEMCAL from PZM.

Install or Connect

1. MEMCAL in new PZM.
2. PZM in vehicle.
3. Rear seat back.
4. Rear seat cushion.
5. "Comfort" fuse B9 in trunk compartment fuse block.
6. Reprogram PZM override PZS33 according to the following values:

E = 6 = Eldorado
K = 4 = Seville
Ksp = 5 = DeVille/Concours

7. Hold the front "Defrost" and "Auto/Econ" ("A/C" for analog IPC) for approximately 5 seconds until the display flashes.
8. Cycle ignition.
