IPO SERVICE PRECAUTIONS

The IPC is designed to withstand norrnal current drains associated with vehicle operations, however, care must be used to avoid overloading any of these circuits, In testing for opens or shorts, do NOT ground or apply voltage to any of the IPC circuits unless instructed to do so by the diagnostic procedures. These circuits should only be tested using the Digital Voltmeter (J 39200) while they remain connected to the IPC. Whenever an IPC removal and replacement is perfonned, follow the instructions in this section.
