Oil Pan: Service and Repair

Oil Pan Replacement

1. Remove the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement .
2. Drain the engine oil.






3. Remove thirteen oil pan bolts and remove the pan.
4. Discard the gasket, if present.

Installation Procedure

1. Reseal the oil pan. Refer to Oil Pan Installation .
2. Install the transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Automatic Transmission.
3. Refill the engine oil.
