Seat Position Sensors
For the Memory Seat Module to store driver seat locations in memory and return the driver seat to these stored memory positions, Seat Position Sensors are utilized. The Memory Seat Module provides 5 volts through the GRY (CKT 788) circuit to each of the Seat Position Sensors. These sensors are potentiometers which are mounted to each motor's transmission cable. When the cable rotates, the resistance of the potentiometer varies and the feedback voltage is monitored by the Memory Seat Module to determine seat position. Depending upon the position of the driver's seat, the sensors feedback voltages vary from 0 to 5 volts. When the Memory Seat Module is commanded to store a driver seat position the module stores all current Seat Position Sensors feedback voltages. When the Memory Seat Module is commanded to return to a driver seat position stored memory, the module moves the driver seat until all the Seat Position Sensor feedback voltages equal the feedback voltages stored in memory.
