CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The PZM may command the Park Lamps through a discrete output to the Park Lamps Relay. Grounding this output also grounds the "Parklamps" input to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).
A short to ground will be tested for when: 1.)"Exterior Lamp Power" is inactive, 2.)The "Parklamp" output is active, 3.)The "Headlamp" switch is not active and 4.)DTC PZ 1970 is not current.
A short to battery will be tested for when: l.)"Exterior Lamp Power" is active, 2.)The "Parklamp" output is active and 3.)DTC PZ 1970 is not current.
DTC WILL SET WHEN
The commanded state of the Park Lamps does not match the feedback state.
ACTION TAKEN (BY PZM)
The PZM will continue to command the requested state until the IPC revokes the request.
DTC WILL CLEAR WHEN
The feedback state matches the commanded state.
DTC CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
1. This test determines if the malfunction is a short to ground or an open.
2. This test determines whether the open is in the wiring or the PZM.
3. This test decides if the malfunction lies in the wiring harness.
4. This test checks the Headlamp Switch.
5. This test checks the PZM.
6. This test checks the Parklamps Relay.
