CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

The PZM commands the High Beams through a discrete output to the "LO/HI Beam Control Relay." When the "Headlamps" relay is energized the "LO/HI Beam Control Relay" provides a power source to either the "Low" beams or the "High" beams.

DTC WILL SET WHEN

The commanded state of the High Beams does not match the feedback state.

ACTION TAKEN (BY PZM)

The PZM will continue to command the requested state until the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) revokes the request.

DTC WILL CLEAR WHEN

DTC CHART TEST DESCRIPTION

1. This test determines if the malfunction is a short to ground or an open.

2. This test decides if the malfunction is in the wiring or the PZM.

3. This test checks to see if the malfunction is in the wiring or the PZM.
