CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The PZM may command the Interior Lamps through a discrete output to the "Courtesy Lamps Relay." When the relay is energized it provides a ground for the interior lamps.
A test for short to ground will be tested when: 1.)Inadvertent Power is active and the "Interior Lamps" output is inactive and 2.)DTC PZ 1971 is not current.
A test for short to battery will be tested when: 1.)Inadvertent Power is active and the "Interior Lamps" output is active and 2.)DTC PZ 1971 is not current.
DTC WILL SET WHEN
The commanded state of the Interior Lamps does not match the feedback state.
ACTION TAKEN (BY PZM)
The PZM will continue to command the requested state until the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) revokes the request.
DTC WILL CLEAR WHEN
The commanded state matches the feedback state.
DTC CHART TEST DESCRIPTION
1. This test determines whether the malfunction is a short to ground or battery.
2. This test checks to see if the malfunction is in a component or the wiring.
3. This test decides whether the malfunctioning component is the PZM or the "Courtesy Lamps Relay.
4. This test checks to see if the malfunction is in a component or the wiring.
5. This test checks for an open in the wiring.
