CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

While the Ignition switch is in "RUN" modules communicating on the Class 2 Data Bus send a "State of Health" (SOH) message every S seconds to ensure that the system is operating properly.

DTC WILL SET WHEN

The PZM does not receive a SOH message from the Integrated Radio Control Module (IRC) alter three consecutive monitoring cycles.

ACTION TAKEN (BY PZM)

The PZM will send a Class 2 message to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) to display the "NO IRC DATA message.

DTC WILL CLEAR WHEN

The IRC transmits a SOH message to the PZM.

DTC CHART TEST DESCRIPTION

1. This test ensures that the Integrated Radio Control Module is functioning normally outside of the loss of serial communication.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS

If there are multiple Class 2 DTCs current (i.e. DTC PZ 2016, PZ 2096, PZ 2128, PZ 2152, PZ 2153), check for a short to ground or voltage in CKT 1807, refer to "Body Control Module System Check". Diagnostic System Check
