CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

Battery voltage is applied to the PZM at Connector C2 terminal "B3". This power supply is what the PZM uses to perform all of its functions. The PZM constantly measures the Battery voltage at Connector C2 terminal "B3".

DTC WILL SET WHEN

The PZM receives a value of greater than 1500 rpm from the PCM and Battery voltage measured is less than 10 volts for 2.0 seconds.

DTC WILL CLEAR WHEN

The Battery voltage is greater than 10 volts in the next monitoring cycle.

DTC CHART TEST DESCRIPTION

1. This test checks to make sure the DTC was not set erroneously.

2. This test determines whether the malfunction is in the charging system or the PZM.
