CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

Within 2.5 seconds from when the Ignition Switch is cycled to "RUN" the PZM adds the checksum of the EEPROM block and that block's "two's complement."

DTC WILL SET WHEN

The value of the addition does not equal zero.

ACTION TAKEN (BY PZM)

The PZM will clear all DTCs, log DTC PZ 1558 as current and default to the following values:

Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) No Change

Personalization Factory default

Ignition Cycle Counter 0

Theft Alarm Condition Cleared

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS

If DTC PZ 1558 is set, clear DTCs and cycle the ignition. If DTC PZ 1558 is still current replace the PZM.
