DTC IP 2515
STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS ILLEGAL RESISTANCE VALUE
CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION:
The IPC samples the steering wheel switch positions through an A/D converter, which converts the switch resistance to between 0 and 255 counts. Each steering wheel control switch has a unique resistance. These resistance values may be measured by disconnecting C202 and placing a ohmmeter across connector C202 terminals "A1" and "A4", then closing the switch being tested. The keys are labeled according to installed options. If a cellular telephone is installed, the keys will have different labels. The switch resistance and position remain the same, only the function changes with options.
DTC IP 2515 will set when the received value falls outside of set range for any command.
Troubleshooting Hints:
Check for high resistance in wires or poor connections between steering wheel touch control switches and IPC, If OK, replace steering wheel control switches.
