CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The IPC samples the steering wheel switch positions through an A/D converter, which converts the switch resistance to between 0 and 255 counts. Each steering wheel control switch has a unique resistance. These resistance values may be measured by disconnecting C202 and placing an ohmmeter across connector C202 terminals "A1" and "A4", then closing the switch being tested. The keys are labeled according to installed options.
DTC IP 2510 sets if a HVAC (or Phone) key is stuck for 12.5 seconds
TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS
If any of the Steering Wheel Control switches is stuck, it may cause another switch not to function properly. Check for binding, sticking or broken steering wheel touch controls. If OK, clear DTC. Check condition of steering wheel controls. If DTC again sets, replace steering wheel control switches.
