CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

DTC IP 2419 is set if the Twilight Sentinel photo sensor A/D counts go to 0 (shorted) or 255 (open) for more than 3 seconds.

DTC CHART TEST DESCRIPTION

Test numbers refer to circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.

1. This test checks for a short to voltage in CKT 278.

2. This test checks for a short to ground in CKT 278.

3. This test checks for an open in CKT 279.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS

If this DTC is current, the IPC will assume the ambient light level is dark and change the exterior lighting state as appropriate. If only DTC IP 2419 is stored as "History", check IPC power and ground for intermittent open circuits.
