IP2064

Diagnostic Chart:

Wiring Diagram:

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

DTC IP 2064 will set if the ignition is "ON" and the IPC is not able to exchange data with the Body Control Module (PZM).

During the time the malfunction is present, the IPC will determine which ignition mode the vehicle is in based on the state of the Ignition -0 and Ignition - 1 inputs. The IPC will broadcast the state of the ignition over the Class 2 Data line. The IPC cannot determine if the ignition switch is in the ACCESSORY position, and therefore will not broadcast that information on the Class 2 Data line. Most features available in ACCESSORY will be lost.

DTC CHART TEST DESCRIPTION

Test numbers refer to circled numbers on the diagnostic chart.

1. This test ensures that the PZM is functioning normally outside of the loss of serial communication.

TROUBLESHOOTING HINTS

If only DTC IP 2064 is stored as "History", check the 1807 circuit for an intermittent open circuit between the IPC and splice S324. If PZM DTC IP 1981 history is also set, power and ground is suspected. If there are multiple communication DTCs current (i.e. DTC IP 2016, IP 2064, IP 2128 and IP 2152) perform the Body Control Module (PZM) Diagnostic System Check. Refer to Body Control Module.
