Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

PROCEDURE
1. Check Underhood Electrical Center Maxifuse 9. If Maxifuse 9 is open, check for a short to ground in CKT 1040.
2. Check I/P Fuse 12. If I/P Fuse 12 is open, check for a short to ground in CKT 139.
3. Check I/P fuse 26. If I/P fuse 26 is open, check for a short to ground in CKT 340.
4. Check that G102 & G400 are clean and tight.
5. If ELC Compressor Assembly runs continuously for approximately 7 minutes, check system air hoses for cracks or leaks.
^ Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove "GOOD" in a continuity/voltage check. These circuits maybe intermittent or resistive when loaded, and if possible, should be checked by monitoring for a voltage drop with the system operational (under load).
^ Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems.
