Chart 12 RKE/TD System Arms No Alarm During Illegal Entry

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
Battery voltage is supplied at all times to the coil of the horn relay. The horn contact in the steering wheel or the RCDLR/TDM can enable the horns to sound.

When the TD portion of the RKE/TD system is activated, the RCDLR/TDM will cycle the horn "ON" and "OFF" for 3 minutes if a door or tamper switch is opened, then closed, or left open.

1. Checks RCDLR/TDM for normal alarm functioning.

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
Horn system must work "Normal" before horn alarm function can be further diagnosed.

Check for loose or poor connections at the RCDLR/TDM connector.
