Throttle Body Assembly Removal and Replacement

Throttle Body Assembly:

An eight digit identification number is stamped on the throttle body casting. Refer to this number if servicing or part replacement is required.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

1. Air cleaner upper housing.
2. ISC Actuator jumper harness connector and TP sensor electrical connectors.
3. Vacuum lines. Note position of each line.
4. Throttle and cruise control cables.
5. Three throttle body retaining bolts.
6. Throttle body and gasket from intake manifold. Discard gasket.

CLEAN
^ Gasket surface on intake manifold and throttle body assembly.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

1. New gasket.
2. Three throttle body attaching bolts. Tighten attaching bolts alternately to 19 Nm (14 lb. ft.).
3. Throttle and cruise control cables.
4. Vacuum lines.
5. ISC Actuator jumper harness connector and TP sensor electrical connectors.
6. Air cleaner upper housing. Perform TP Sensor/Idle Learn Procedure.
