DESCRIPTION:
Code P064 is designed to set when the vehicle speed is increasing at an extremely rapid rate (wheelspin). It is a protective measure to disable the cruise control when the vehicle suddenly accelerates for example, when traveling on icy roads.

TEST CONDITIONS:
1. Cruise control engaged.

FAILURE CONDITIONS:
Vehicle speed increases more than 16 mph in 1 second.

ACTION TAKEN:
1. PCM disengages cruise control.
