Diagnostic Parameters & Displays

ACP Data Displays:

AD20 The COMMANDED BLOWER SPEED is read from 0% to 99%.

AD21 The COOLANT TEMPERATURE is displayed in degrees Celsius (°C) from -40 to 151. This value is sent from the PCM. If the coolant temperature sensor circuit malfunctions Code E014 or E015 will set and the PCM will send a 'Fail-safe' value for display. The PCM parameter for actual coolant temperature is ED04.

AD22 The COMMANDED AIR MIX DOOR POSITION is displayed in percent (%). A value close to 100% represents a max cold air mix and a value close to 0% represents a max heat air mix.

AD23 The ACTUAL AIR MIX DOOR POSITION is displayed in percent (%). This value should nearly equal the commanded air mix door position (AD22) when AD22 is between 0 and 70.

AD24 The AIR DELIVERY MODE is displayed as a number from 0 to 10. Each number is a code which represents the following air delivery modes:

0 - MAX A/C (Recirc)

1 - A/C

2 - Bi-Level (A/C-Heater)

3 - Heater-Defrost

4 - Heater

5 - OFF

6 - Defog

7 - Front Defrost

8 - Normal Purge

9 - Cold Purge

10 - A/C Purge

AD25 The IN-CAR TEMPERATURE is displayed in degrees Celsius (°C), from -40 to 102.

AD26 The ACTUAL OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE is displayed in degrees Celsius (°C), from -40 to 53. This value represents actual sensor temperature and is not restricted by filters used to minimize engine heat affects on the IPC display value.

AD27 The MI SIDE / CONDENSER OUTLET TEMPERATURE is displayed in degrees Celsius (°C) from -38 to 185.

AD28 The LO SIDE I EVAPORATOR INLET TEMPERATURE is displayed in degrees Celsius (°C) from -40 to 102.

AD32 The SUNLOAD SENSOR is displayed in in percent (%) from 0 to 100%. 0 represents max bright, while 100 represents max dark.

AD33 AD33 is not used on this vehicle. Readings will be near -40 at all times.

AD70 The REAR BLOWER FEEDBACK is displayed in voltage.

AD71 The INTEGRAL CONTROL TERM is displayed in counts. This term is used to compensate for in-car temp sensor leading/lagging actual temperature

AD98 The IGNITION CYCLE value is the number of times that the ACP has been turned 'OFF' since an ACP trouble code was last detected. After 50 ignition cycles without any malfunction being detected, this value is reset.

AD99 ACP SOFTWARE ID is used to identify what software is currently used in the ACE

ACP Input Displays:

AI01 The LOW REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SWITCH display is 'LO' when the system is low on refrigerant.

AI02 The WIPERS ON display is 'HI' when the wiper switch is in any 'ON' position.

ACP Override Displays

AS00 This test will blank the display as no overrides are active at this point

AS01 The PROGRAM NUMBER override can be controlled from '0' (Max A/C) to '99' (Max heat). The display will hold the override value upon release of the buttons.

AS12 The AIR MIX DOOR POSITION override can be controlled from 0 (max heat) to 99 (max cool). The display will hold the override value upon release of the buttons.

AS13 The AIR DELIVERY MODE override can be controlled from 0 to 10, to vary air delivery mode. Refer to AD24 for mode table.

ASl6 The BLOWER SPEED CONTROL override can be controlled from 0 to 100%.

AS19 The OUTSIDE TEMP UPDATE override can be used to immediately update the displayed outside temperature reading to the actual outside temperature reading, bypassing all filters. To update, press 'WARMER'. Display will go to '99', then ACP will use current outside air temperature reading.

AS20 The SOLENOID CYCLING override will cause the ACP to cycle controlled solenoids 'ON/OFF'.

When actuators are cycling, pressing 'COOL will 'freeze' actuators in current state (display reads 00). Pressing 'WARM' will start actuators cycling again (display reads 99).

ACP Status Lights

These are active only when the ACP system level is selected.

1. The 'AUTO' status indicator is turned 'ON' whenever the Recirc solenoid is engaged.

2. The status indicator is turned 'ON' whenever the A/C compressor is requested.

3. The status indicator is turned 'ON' whenever the refrigerant pressure switch is open (Low Pressure).

4. The 'LO' fan status indicator is turned 'ON' whenever the A/C Defrost solenoid is engaged.

5. The 'HI' fan status indicator is turned 'ON' whenever the Up solenoid is engaged.

6. The 'DEFOG' status indicator is turned 'ON' whenever the Down solenoid is engaged.

Set Temperature Offset

This feature is added to allow dealership technicians to "cool down" or "warm up" the vehicle's HVAC system. The Offset value will allow the displayed set temperature to be different from the commanded set temperature from -5°F to +5°F To perform Set Temperature Offset, enter diagnostics and display IPC Override Output IS 10. Press "COOLER" or "WARMER" button to the desired set temperature. To overwrite the value in memory, hold the "ECON" and buttons for 3 seconds.
