Air Injection Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove the radiator.
2. Hold pump pulley from turning by compressing the drive belt, then loosen pump pulley bolts.
3. Remove sepentine belt.
4. Remove pump pulley.
5. Disconnect air injection pump inlet hose.
6. Remove air injection pump outlet hose.
7. Remove air pump mounting bolts and pump assembly.
8. Remove air pump outlet hose adaptor from air pump.

INSTALLATION

1. Install air pump outlet hose adaptor to air pump.
2. Install air pump assembly and two mounting bolts, tighten bolts, see SPECIFICATIONS.
3. Connect air injection pump outlet hose and clamp.
4. Connect air injection pump inlet hose and clamp.
5. Install pump pulley, spacer and mounting bolts, tighten bolts, see SPECIFICATIONS.
6. Install serpentine belt.
7. Install radiator assembly.
8. Check air injection system for proper operation.
