E067

Code E067:

Cruise Control Circuit:

DESCRIPTION:

When the cruise control ON/OFF switch is "ON", system voltage is available at one side of the normally open contacts on the Set/Coast and Resume/Accel switches. If the cruise control ON/OFF switch is in the "ON" position this system voltage is available to the Set/Coast and Resume/Accel switches at key on. If the Set/Coast or the Resume/Accel switches were stuck or their signal wires to the PCM/ECM were shorted to voltage, the vehicle could begin cruise operation. To prevent this, code E067 will set and disable cruise control if signal voltage from the Set/Coast (CKT 84) or Resume/Accel (CKT 87) is "HI" for 10 minutes. Cruise control will be disabled until the PCM/ECM sees a low on both of these signals.

TEST CONDITIONS:

1. Always tested.

FAILURE CONDITIONS:

1. Set/Coast switch is closed for 10 minutes.
2. Resume/Accel switch is closed for 10 minutes.

ACTION TAKEN:

1. Disengage cruise control.
2. Code set. No service message.
