Cruise Control Circuit:

DESCRIPTION:

This code will set if engine speed exceeds 4800 RPM. This may occur on slippery pavement, extended wide open throttle acceleration, or for some mechanical problems (such as transmission slippage). Under these conditions, code E066 will set and should be considered normal. The driver should be advised why the cruise deenergized. Clear the code and road test vehicle to verify normal operation.

TEST CONDITIONS:

1. Cruise control enabled.
2. Cruise control engaged.

FAILURE CONDITIONS:

Engine speed greater than 4800 RPM for .25 seconds.

ACTION TAKEN:

1. Disengage cruise control.
2. Code set, No Service message.

WHEN ALL DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIRS ARE COMPLETED, CLEAR CODES AND VERIFY OPERATION
