DESCRIPTION:

Code B336 will set if the ignition is on and the BCM loses data communication with the IPC. The problem is a result of a +7 volt power or ground fault to the IPC, or a double open circuit in the data communication line between the IPC and the BCM. These conditions are diagnosed in the Self Diagnostic System Check.

NOTE ON INTERMITTENTS:

Ensure good terminal contact at IPC for data line, power, and ground connections. Also watch for intermittent at transistion block and in the flex circuit portion of the IPC carrier assembly. If wiring is good and intermittents continue, replace IPC.
