System Diagnosis
NOTE: Diagnostics for the symptoms listed in the following table are listed after the system diagnostic table.

SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS TABLE
^ If your symptom does not appear in the symptom table, do all of the tests.
Table A: System Won't Arm:
TABLE A: SYSTEM WON'T ARM, INDICATOR FLASHES AFTER DOOR SWITCH IS LOCKED.
Table B: System Won't Arm:
TABLE B: SYSTEM WON'T ARM, INDICATOR STAYS ON AFTER DOOR IS CLOSED.
Table C: System Won't Cancel:
TABLE C: SYSTEM WON'T CANCEL ARMING WHEN DOOR LOCK SWITCH IS UNLOCKED.
Table D: System Won't Disarm:
TABLE D: SYSTEM WON'T DISARM WITH DOOR KEY.
^ If the results are correct, replace theft deterrent controller.
1. Check PNK/BLK (39) wire for an open.
2. Check LT GRN(262) wire, and door lock cylinder switches for an open (see schematic).
Table E: Alarms Won't Operate:
TABLE E: ALARMS WON'T OPERATE, SYSTEM ARMS.
Table F: Only The Horns Operate:
TABLE F: ONLY THE HORNS OR SOME LIGHTS OPERATE WHEN ALARM IS ACTIVATED (HORNS AND ALL LIGHTS WORK WHEN OPERATED FROM THEIR SWITCHES.)
Table G: Security Indicator Flashes:
TABLE G: SECURITY INDICATOR FLASHES WITH IGNITION SWITCH AT RUN AND A DOOR OPEN OR SYSTEM WILL NOT DISARM WHEN THE IGNITION SWITCH IS TURNED TO RUN.
Table H: Security Indicator Doesn't Work:
TABLE H: SECURITY INDICATOR DOESN`T WORK.
Table I: Alarms Operate Without Any Tamper Action:
TABLE I: ALARMS OPERATE WITHOUT ANY TAMPER ACTION.
^ If the alarms operate without any tamper action only when the system is armed, go to the table.
^ If the alarms operate when the system is not armed, check for the following.
1. A ground in the BLK/WHT(624) wire.
2. A ground in the theft deterrent controller at terminal F.
3. Theft deterent relay contacts are closed.
