VCC Brake Switch Circuit:

DESCRIPTION:

This diagnostic test assumes that the brake must be applied to bring the vehicle to a stop from 30 mph.

TEST CONDITIONS:

1. Code E24 not set.
2. Engine running.
3. Vehicle speed 30 mph or greater.

FAILURE CONDITIONS:

Vehicle speed cycles from 30 mph or greater to 0 mph with no VCC brake switch input, and the PCM/ECM records 10 of these events consecutively.

ACTION TAKEN:

1. Code is set.
2. PCM/ECM turns on SERVICE ENGINE SOON lamp.

NOTES ON FAULT TREE:

1. When the test is successfully completed the fuel data center will alternately display E.7.1 and 00.
