SUBJECT: SUN VISOR CONTACTS SOFT TOP HEADER MOTOR COVER WHEN ROTATING WITH VJ4 OPTION


MODELS AFFECTED: 1990 ALLANTES


This bulletin supersedes and replaces Service Bulletin T-91-5 which should be discarded. This bulletin is being revised to change the service procedure and add new part numbers.


Some 1990 Allantes equipped with power header latches may experience interference between the sun visor and the soft top header motor cover when the visor is rotated. This condition may be caused by a design interference between the visor and the cover.


To repair this condition replace both soft top header motor covers with the new redesigned covers, P/N 3526429 (RH) and P/N 3526430 (LH). Refer to Section 10-9-42 of the 1990 Allante Service Information Manual for the removal and installation procedure.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.


For warranty purposes use Labor Operation T6520 at .2 hour for both.
