Data Display
The following diagnostic areas are available by entering service diagnostics.Data
BD20 - Commanded Blower Voltage
The commanded blower voltage is read in volts. Readings will be displayed to tenths of a volt from -2.9 to 18.0 volts.
BD22 - Commanded Air Mix Valve Position
The commanded air mix valve position is displayed in "percent" (%). This is the signal the Body Control Module (BCM) sends the programmer over the data circuit so the programmer knows what position to move the air mix valve. A value close to 0% represents a cold air mix valve position and a value close to 100% represents a warm air mix valve position.
BD23 - Actual Air Mix Valve Position The actual air mix valve position is displayed in "percent" (%). The BCM directly monitors that the air programmer moved the air mix valve to the commanded position.This value should follow the commanded air mix valve position (BD22) except when the valve is commanded beyond its mechanical limits of travel.
BD24 - Air Delivery Mode.
The air delivery mode is displayed as a number from 0 to 7. Each number is a code which represents the following air delivery modes:
0 = Max A/C
1 = A/C
2 = Bi-Level
3 = Heater - Defrost
4 = Heater
5 = "OFF"
6 = Normal Purge
7 = Cold Purge
8 = Front Defrost
9 = A/C Purge (built after November 1988.)
BD25 - In-Car Temperature
The in-car temperature is displayed in degrees celsius (°C) from -40 to 102.
BD26 - Outside Air Temperature
The actual outside air temperature is displayed in degrees celsius (°C) from -40 to 102. This value represents actual sensor temperature and is not restricted by the features used to minimize engine heat effects on the customer display value.
BD27- High Side Temperature
The A/C high side temperature (condenser output) is displayed in degrees celsius (°C) from -40 to 215.
BD28 - Low Side Temperature
The A/C low side temperature (After orifice tube) is displayed in degrees celsius (°C) from -40 to 93.
BD32 - Sunload Temperature
The sunload temperature is displayed in degrees celsius (°C) from -40 to 102. This input to the BCM is used to factor in the heat effect of sunshine on the interior of the vehicle.
ED01 - Throttle Position Sensor
The throttle position sensor is displayed in degrees from -10 to 90.
ED04 - Coolant Temperature
The coolant temperature is displayed in degrees celsius (°C) from -40 to 151.
