DTC 16

Code 16 will set if certain internal EBCM failures are detected. This code can also be set by other system malfunctions during certain test periods. If a code 16 is encountered, the vehicle should be test driven again, so that the system may perform another self diagnostic check during the normal start-up and acceleration phases of driving. In some cases, codes 1-15 will set when a code 16 had previously been displayed. Refer to the appropriate ABS code charts as required.
