L011

The Body Control Module (BCM) checks the operation of the redundant relays each ignition cycle after the headlamps are first activated. If the BCM suspects that the head lamp relay is inoperative, the code L010 will be set.

Notes on Trouble Trees
1. Both redundant relays should be activated with the engine cranking. If the lamp lights while cranking the engine, the relay circuits are working correctly.
2. This checks for power to the switch portion of the relay.
3. This checks for power to the relay engagement coil.
4. This checks the voltage supply to the bulb.
5. This checks the ability of the BCM to ground circuit 961. BCM output BO09 will cycle the ground (circuit 961) only if the headlamp switch is turned on.
