SUBJECT: FRONT DOOR WINDOW CLICKING OR CREAKING NOISE

MODELS AFFECTED: 1985 ELDORADOS AND SEVILLES


Some 1988 Eldorados and Sevilles may experience a clicking or creaking noise from the front door windows during either up or down travel. This condition may be caused by an incorrect surface finish of the counterbalance spring on the regulator assembly.

To repair this condition, replace the entire window regulator assembly with the part numbers listed below:

Right Side Left Side

Eldorado: 20375834 20375835
Seville: 20377438 20377439

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.

For warranty purposes use Labor Operations C0182 (right side) and C0183 (left side) at 1.0 hour each.
