Cruise Control

Code 67 indicates that the set/coast and resume/acceleration switches were incorrectly set when the cruise control was engaged. Whenever the condition which set code 67 is present, the cruise control will not operate during that ignition cycle. Diagnose the system as follows:
1. Perform switch tests as described previously.
2. If codes .7.6 or .7.7 display, refer to applicable Trouble Code Test.
3. If switch test codes .7.6 and .7.7 pass, then the DEFI system is operating satisfactorily. Code 67 was caused by simultaneously depressing the set/coast and resume/acceleration switches or by a failure in the set/coast or resume/acceleration circuits which was present when the cruise control instrument panel switch was turned on.
