Powertrain Controls - ECM/PCM

Code 60 indicates that the transmission was not in Drive when cruise control was engaged.
1. Perform switch tests.
2. If code .7.3 displays, refer to ``Code .7.3 Drive Switch Circuit.''
3. If code .7.3 passes, then DEFI system is performing satisfactorily and code 60 was caused by driver error or improperly adjusted transmission lever. Adjust as necessary.
4. Clear codes and road test vehicle while checking display for new codes.
