MODELS AFFECTED: 1984 CIMARRON


A production change in the battery capacity on 1984 Cimarrons was recently made, effective at B.C. No. 407952. This change affects both the standard battery and the heavy duty battery option (UA1). These changes areas follows:


Before B.C. 407952 Standard Battery Heavy Duty Option (UA1)

Battery 70-60 75-60
Reserve Capacity 75 Minutes 90 Minutes
Cold Cranking Amperage 405 Amperes 500 Amperes


After B.C. 407952 Standard Battery Heavy Duty Option (UA1)

Battery 75-60 75A-60
Reserve Capacity 90 Minutes 90 Minutes
Cold Cranking Amperage 500 Amperes 630 Amperes

Recommended service replacement batteries are Delco 75-60 (standard battery), or Delco 75A- 60 (heavy duty battery) or equivalent.
