Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement - Right Side (L26) (3.8L)

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (L26) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS4) (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the right engine mount strut at the upper engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left Side (Service and Repair) and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side (Service and Repair).




3. Loosen the lower engine mount strut bracket nut.
4. Remove the lower engine mount strut bracket bolts.




5. Remove the upper engine mount strut bracket bolts.
6. Remove the upper engine mount strut bracket.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the upper engine mount strut bracket.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the upper engine mount strut bracket bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).




3. Install the lower engine mount strut bracket bolts.

* Tighten the lower engine mount strut bracket nut.

Tighten the nut to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).

* Tighten the lower engine mount strut bracket bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).




4. Install the right engine mount strut at the upper engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Left Side (Service and Repair) and Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side (Service and Repair).
5. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (L26) (Service and Repair)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LS4) (Service and Repair).
