Engine Mount Strut Bracket Replacement - Right Side
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LY7) (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the pulley from the generator.
3. Remove the right engine mount strut and radiator support bracket from the right engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side (Service and Repair).
4. Remove the generator bolts from the generator.
5. Move the generator off to the side to provide access to the engine mount strut bracket bolts.
6. Remove the engine mount strut bracket bolts from the cylinder head.
7. Remove the right engine mount strut bracket from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the right engine mount strut bracket to the vehicle.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).
2. Connect the engine mount strut bracket bolts to the cylinder head.
Tighten the engine mount strut bracket bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
3. Install the generator into the proper position.
4. Install the generator bolts.
Tighten the generator bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
5. Install the right engine mount strut and radiator support bracket to the right engine mount strut bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement - Right Side (Service and Repair).
6. Connect the pulley to the generator.
7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LY7) (Service and Repair).
