Automatic Transmission Brace Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the right front tire and wheel.




3. Remove the transaxle brace bolts.
4. Remove the transaxle brace.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the transaxle brace.
2. Hand start the bolts to the engine and to the transaxle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the transaxle brace bolts to the transaxle.

Tighten the transaxle brace bolts to the transaxle to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

4. Install the transaxle brace bolts to the engine.

Tighten the transaxle brace bolts to the engine to 63 N.m (46 lb ft).

5. Install the right front tire and wheel.
6. Lower the vehicle.
