DTC B2348

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The body control module (BCM) monitors the heated seat control module status signal circuit for shorts to voltage.

The circuit starts at the BCM and travels to the instrument panel (I/P) fuse panel where the circuit splits and travels to the heated seat module, the driver and heated seat module, and the front passenger module.

DTC DESCRIPTOR
This diagnostic procedure supports the following DTC:
DTC B2348 Front Seat Heater Disable Circuit High

CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
- The ignition must be in the ON position.
- The Load Shed system must be active.
- This DTC shall not set during BCM programing and configuration changes.
- This DTC shall not set if any communication codes are set.
- This DTC shall not set if codes B1982 or B1983 are set.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC
The voltage of the heated seat control module status signal circuit, at the module, shall be greater than 5 volts for 1/2 second while the output is inactive.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The BCM sets a DTC and disables the heated seats until the next ignition cycle.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
- The Load Shed system in not in an active state.
- The ignition has been cycled from Off to Run.
- A history DTC clears after 100 malfunction-free ignition cycles.
- The BCM receives the clear code command from the scan tool.
