Window Replacement - Rear Door

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door Service and Repair
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer toWater Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the inner energy absorber. Refer toEnergy Absorber Pad Replacement - Rear Door.
4. Remove the inner sealing strip. Refer toSealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner (Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the outer belt sealing strip. Refer toSealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
6. Remove the rear door frame molding. Refer toGarnish Molding Replacement - Rear Door Frame (Service and Repair) .




7. Remove the window mounting bolts (1, 2).
8. Remove the window.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the window between the inner and the outer panels.
2. Point the lower front corner of the window down.
3. Pass the window through the belt opening.
Align the edges with the door window weatherstrip.
4. Turn the window to the horizontal position.
Align the holes in the window with the holes in the regulator. Ensure that both sealing lips on the front door outer belt sealing strip are not rolled over and pointing downward. If this condition is present, the window will not raise properly.

5. Install the window to regulator bolts (1, 2). Tighten the forward bolt first.

Tighten the forward window to regulator bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

6. Tighten the rearward bolt second.

Tighten the rearward window to regulator bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).

7. Install the rear door frame molding. Refer toGarnish Molding Replacement - Rear Door Frame (Service and Repair) .
8. Install the outer belt sealing strip. Refer toSealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
9. Install the inner sealing strip. Refer toSealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner (Service and Repair) .
10. Adjust the rear window as nessessary. Refer toWindow Adjustment - Rear Door (Adjustments) .
11. Install the inner energy absorber. Refer toEnergy Absorber Pad Replacement - Rear Door.
12. Install the water deflector. Refer toWater Deflector Replacement - Rear Door (Service and Repair) .
13. Install the trim panel. Refer toTrim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door Service and Repair
