EGR Tube: Service and Repair

EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) PIPE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the EGR pipe bolt.
2. Remove the EGR pipe assembly nut from the exhaust manifold.
3. Remove the EGR pipe.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the EGR pipe to the exhaust manifold and the EGR valve.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the EGR pipe nut to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

2. Install the EGR pipe bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
