Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Window

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement - Front.
3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door Service and Repair.
4. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
5. Remove the outside rear view mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement - Power (Mirror Replacement - Power Mirror) .
6. Remove the window outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Outer (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .




7. Remove the window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair) .
8. Remove the fasteners from the front window channel (2).
9. Carefully pull the window weatherstrip (1) and channel (2) from the door.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the window weatherstrip (1) to the door starting in the top corner working out in both directions.
2. Firmly seat the window weatherstrip to the door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Install the window channel fasteners.

Tighten the window channel fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

4. Install the door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair) .
5. Install the window outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Outer (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
6. Install the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement - Power (Mirror Replacement - Power Mirror) .
7. Install the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
8. Install the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door Service and Repair.
9. Install the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement - Front.
10. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) .
