Lock Cylinder Replacement - Door

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door. Service and Repair




3. Remove the outside door handle. Refer toDoor Handle Replacement - Front Outside (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the E-clip retaining the lock cylinder arm to the lock cylinder.
5. Remove the lock cylinder arm.
6. Spread the omega clip (3) retaining the lock cylinder to the door handle (1).
7. Remove the lock cylinder (2) from the door handle (1).
8. Ensure that the lock cylinder gasket is not damaged.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the gasket into the outside door handle.
2. Snap the lock cylinder (2) into the outside door handle (1).
3. Install the outside door handle. Refer toDoor Handle Replacement - Front Outside (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door. Service and Repair
5. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) .
