Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Window
Removal Procedure
1. Move the window to the full down position.
2. Remove the door trim panel.
3. Remove the door module.
4. Remove the water deflector.
5. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip.
6. Remove the window outer belt sealing strip.
7. Remove the rear door window.
8. Remove the fastener (1) from the division post (2).
9. Remove the rear door stationary window and window weatherstrip assembly (3) from the door.
1. Pull the window weatherstrip out of the door frame.
2. Grasp the division post and pull the assembly forward.
10. Remove the weatherstrip and the rear door stationary window as an assembly.
Installation Procedure
Important: When reusing the window weatherstrip, the flange mounting area (1) must be pinched together in order to counteract the splaying effect when removed. Use a thumb and an index finger in order to pinch the carrier (2) back together. Work from one end of the weatherstrip to the other.
1. Prep the weatherstrip for installation.
2. Install the weatherstrip and stationary window into the door.
1. Seat the stationary window into the door frame.
2. Insert the window weatherstrip into the door frame.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the division post fastener (1).
Tighten the fastener to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
4. Install the rear door window.
5. Install the window outer belt sealing strip.
6. Install the window inner belt sealing strip.
7. Install the water deflector.
8. Install the door module.
9. Install the door trim panel.
