Backup Light Bulb: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the rear compartment lid trim.
2. Remove the nuts (5) that retain the backup lamp (2) assembly to the rear compartment lid (1).
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (4).
4. Remove the backup lamp (2) assembly from the rear compartment lid (1).
5. Remove the grommet (3) from the rear compartment lid (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the grommet (3) to the rear compartment lid (1).
Ensure that the grommet (3) is fully seated.
2. Connect the electrical connector (4).
3. Install the backup lamp (2) assembly to the rear compartment lid (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




4. Install the nuts (1) in order to retain the backup lamp assembly to the rear compartment lid.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts in sequence to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

5. Install the rear compartment lid trim.
