Door Replacement - Rear



Rear Door Replacement


Tools Required
* J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover
* J 39346-A Mini-Wedge Door Striker Aligner



Removal Procedure

1. Remove the inside door handle bezel. Refer to Door Inside Handle Bezel Replacement ([1][2]Bezel Replacement) .
2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the garnish molding. Refer to Rear Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement () .
5. Remove the window inner belt molding. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Remove the outer belt molding. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
7. Remove the front window run channel. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Front Channel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
8. Remove the door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair) .
9. Remove the power window module. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Module Replacement.
10. Remove the window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Service and Repair) .
11. Remove the stationary window. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement (Service and Repair) .
12. Remove the door frame applique. Refer to Rear Door Frame Applique Replacement () .
13. Remove the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement) .
14. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
15. Remove the door weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement (Service and Repair) .
16. Remove the upper auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Upper Auxiliary Weatherstrip Replacement (Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Upper Auxiliary) .




17. Pull the rubber wiring conduit (2) away from the wiring connector at the pillar.
18. Disconnect the door wiring harness connector from the body wiring harness connector.




19. Remove the rubber conduit and wiring harness from the door.
20. Remove the door check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair) .
21. Remove the door. Refer to Rear Side Door Removal (Rear Side Door Replacement) .
22. Remove the door half of the hinges. Refer to Rear Side Door Hinge Replacement (Service and Repair) .



Installation Procedure





1. Install the door hinge half to the door. Refer to Rear Side Door Hinge Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Install the door. Refer to Rear Side Door Removal (Rear Side Door Replacement) .
3. Install the door check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the door wiring harness clips to the inner door panel.
5. Install the door wiring harness into the door.




6. Install the wiring conduit (4) over the door wire harness connector (2).
7. Connect the door wire harness (2) to the body wire harness (3).
8. Install the upper auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Upper Auxiliary Weatherstrip Replacement (Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Upper Auxiliary) .
9. Install the door weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement (Service and Repair) .
10. Install the door bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement) .
11. Install the door frame applique. Refer to Rear Door Frame Applique Replacement () .
12. Install the stationary window. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement (Service and Repair) .
13. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
14. Install the window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement (Service and Repair) .
15. Install the power window module. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Module Replacement.
16. Install the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair) .
17. Install the front window run channel. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Front Channel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
18. Install the outer belt molding. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement) .
19. Install the window inner belt molding. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Service and Repair) .
20. Install the garnish molding. Refer to Rear Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement () .
21. Check the door window for proper adjustment. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Adjustment (Adjustments) .
22. Check the door for proper adjustment. Refer to Door Adjustment (Adjustments) .
23. Check the window and door lock operation.
24. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair) .
25. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement Service and Repair
