Exhaust Crossover Pipe: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Intake Manifold.





2. Remove the power brake booster heat shield.
3. Remove the air flow duct.





4. Remove the bolts from the exhaust manifold.
5. Remove the exhaust manifold.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the exhaust manifold.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the exhaust manifold bolts.
^ Tighten the exhaust manifold bolts to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).

3. Install the air flow duct.





4. Install the power brake booster heat shield.
^ Tighten the power brake booster heat shield bolts to 20 Nm (115 ft. lbs.).

5. Install the fuel injector sight shield.
