Door Replacement - Front

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

TOOLS REQUIRED
^ J 38778 Door Trim Pad Clip Remover
^ J 39346-A Mini-Wedge Door Striker Aligner

1. Remove the door trim panel.
2. Remove the door module.
3. Remove the water deflector.
4. Remove both the window inner and outer belt sealing strips.
5. Remove the window channel retainer.
6. Remove the outside rear view mirror.
7. Remove the window.
8. Remove the window weatherstrip.
9. Remove the door frame applique.
10. Remove the front power window module.
11. Remove the rear window run channel.
12. Remove the outside door handle.
13. Remove the door latch.
14. Remove the door bottom auxiliary weatherstrip.
15. Remove the front door weatherstrip.




16. Disconnect the door wiring harness connector from the body wiring harness connector.




17. Remove the wiring harness clips (2) from the inner door panel.
18. Remove the rubber conduit and the wiring harness (1) from the B-pillar.
19. Remove the door check link.
20. Remove all the plastic nuts and retainers (2) from the door shell.
21. Remove the door with the aid from an assistant.
22. Remove the door hinges.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the door hinges to the door.
2. Install the door with the aid from an assistant.
3. Install all the plastic nuts and retainers (2) into the door shell that were removed during disassembly.
4. Install the door check link.
5. Route the wiring harness and the conduit into the door.
6. Connect the electrical connector.
7. Install the door wiring harness clips (2) to the inner door panel.




8. Connect the door wiring harness electrical connector to the body wiring harness electrical connector.
9. Install the front door weatherstrip.
10. Install the door bottom auxiliary weatherstrip.
11. Install the door latch.
12. Install the outside door handle.
13. Install the rear window run channel.
14. Install the front power window module.
15. Install the door frame applique.
16. Install the window weatherstrip.
17. Install the window.
18. Install the outside rearview mirror.
19. Install the window channel retainer.
20. Install the window inner and outer belt sealing strips.
21. Adjust the door if needed.
22. Adjust the window if needed.
23. Install the water deflector.
24. Install the door module.
25. Install the door trim panel.
